TinyTAN (SUGA) MIC Drop Merch

I’ve recently visited the BTS Pop-up Store here in Singapore and bought some TinyTAN MIC Drop merch. If you want to check out my post about the pop-up store please head to this link.

Here’s how the keyring looks like. It comes with a yellow strap with an embossed TinyTAN logo and SUGA on the other side. The figurine is roughly around 5mm(H) x 3mm(W) and the strap (including the clasp) is around 110mm(H) x 12mm(W).

And the other merch I purchased is the figurine. If you’re able to buy the whole gang, the standee will spell out MIC Drop—SUGA comes with the “C” stand. The size is around 95mm(H) x 65mm(D) x 60mm(W).

Here’s a side by side comparison: (LEFT) screenshot from their MV; (RIGHT) labelled details of the figurine. I love how they paid attention to even the tiniest details and put it in the figurine and keychain.

Overall, the material and built is good in terms of quality and how they were able to incorporate the details sharply. I’ll probably get Jimin’s figurine once it becomes available again.

BTS Pop-Up Store: Map of the Soul (Singapore Showcase)

Good news for my fellow ARMYs out there. BTS is having a pop-up store—make some noise! 💜

There are only three physical showcases worldwide—Seoul, Tokyo and Singapore. Unfortunately, ARMYs living outside of these countries can’t go. So I’ve decided to create a short post to let you all have a look inside the store.

Visitors will have to book visiting time slots online. And in view of the current COVID-19 situation, they are limiting the number of visitors. For those who were able to book reservations online, a goodie bag awaits for you before entering the store. It contains a MOTS postcard and an event wrist band. (They are currently accepting walk-ins but you won’t be getting any goodie bag.)

Here’s a look inside the pop-up store.

There are some BTS song-inspired spots where you can take photos. Don’t worry if you’re coming alone, the staff will help you take your photo.

Hey everyone! How’s the first two months of your 2018 been doing? Would you believe it’s already March?! The first quarter of the year would be over soon. Time flies and fast!

Calligraphy KD4

So it’s nice to give yourself some “me-time” and reflect on the things that have happened. For me, one of my resolution for this year was to develop or acquire a new hobby slash skill. And I decided that to be calligraphy—iPad calligraphy to be exact. So I started an Instagram account (@krisceldiane) so I will be driven in a way to create artworks regularly. But that’s not the only reason why I created this account.

My intention is to combine my love for photography together with calligraphy. Using quotes or words that are positive. I hope that through this little way I can inspire others—whether it’s to travel, try a certain food or just make someone laugh or some encouragement.

Here are some sample images I have posted on my account so far.

If you are inspired in some way, please feel free to follow me or show some love.

#ColdplaySingapore

The title says it all! Yes, I was one of the lucky ones to get a hold of one of those sold out Coldplay tickets! Managed to purchase Standing Pen A so on the day of the performance we had to go three hours before they opened the gates. Hoping to get some nice spot.

For this year’s front act is Jess Kent. Any one of you know her? Well, before the concert I had no idea who she was. But she’s a great artist. Maybe you can guys check her music. Here’s a link to her YT channel or you can listen to her on Spotify.

Here’s the setlist that Coldplay played during their concert on 1st of April (Saturday):

You can click on the some of the title for some short videos I’ve taken.

By the end of the night, I was speechless by how amazing they are. It was definitely worth every cent. Definitely an unforgettable experience.

Hands down to Coldplay!

Chris, Guy, Johnny, Will thank you for your music! I love you guys!

I kept the confetti that went inside my clothes and bag in a tiny glass jar with the wristband.

National Gallery Singapore

After some years of waiting…

Finally, National Gallery of Singapore is now open to the public!

One of the ongoing special exhibition now is the Wu GuanZhong: Beaty Beyond Form. And It will be on the National Gallery of Singapore until 03 May 2016. So be sure to check it out!

My sister and I were really shocked when we saw him. He looked just like our Angkong (or Grandpa)! Seriously! I even send the photo to my mom and she affirmed it. And to think our surname is also Go or Wu in chinese. Maybe it’s where I got my passion for the arts? Hmmm.. He He

And more photos around the gallery.

Inside the Keppel Centre for Art Education. This area is made specially for kids but I’m sure adults and those child at heart will also have fun here.

We were looking forward to go to the Playscape that day, but too bad it was already closed when we finished going through the other exhibits. -.- But I managed to take two photos. LOL Will be definitely back for this.

27 years and counting…

A few only knows that I am frightened by the thought of growing old. So I dread the days that lead to my birthday. Every October I am having “anxiety attacks” and panic starts to creep in. There were times when I cried just the thought of my birthday. And sometimes when I encounter old folks I do feel scared—BUT this doesn’t mean I don’t respect or care for them or help them for that matter. The thought of being weak and wrinkly petrifies me.

So yeah, at the midnight of my birthday my sister and my brother-in-law went to my room and woke me up to surprise me. They were so happy and started singing the Birthday song.

And my reaction was…27th bday

Yup, that moment you realised you are getting older again. I totally ruined the moment, didn’t I? LOL

What’s a better way to make you feel younger is a Hello Kitty cake.27th bday4 27th bday3

Being aware of this weird condition of mine, I am working on it—psyching myself that it is really not a big deal and just accept the inevitable. And yes, I had some glitches this year but it wasn’t as bad as the past years (or so I thought). Ha Ha

Anyway, later that evening we had a dinner at Carousel Buffet. Together with the other dining celebrants, they gave us mini birthday cake and sang the Birthday song.27th bday 2

These past 26 years of living, I can say that life was not always great but I couldn’t be any happier with what I have, where I am now and who I am with. My family and friends are not perfect and so am I, work had its ups and downs, encountered bumpy roads once in a while. But hey, it’s what makes life worth living and exciting.

Aiming that this 27th year will have more adventure, more love and happiness to share, learn to be content but know how to dream big. And remember to live life to the fullest and make it count.

Cheers to my fellow Librans!

Welcome to the happiest 5k run—or walk! It really doesn’t matter if we walk or run because our main goal is to finish plastered in colours and have F-U-N.

The Preps: We bought the sunglasses they were selling for S$10 each. The quality and design are good. All the boys picked the green ones, the other girls chose the light blue and I picked the pink one.

No Yew, No Us

On the 23rd of March 2015, a news broke out that has left Singapore heartbroken and in deep sorrow. They had lose not just a leader but a father. Yes, Lee Kuan Yew is in fact Singapore’s father. We can’t deny the fact that he was the main guy who built this country and kept building it until his last breath. As he himself puts it:

I have spent my life, so much of it, building up this country. There’s nothing more that I need to do. At the end of the day, what have I got? A successful Singapore. What have I given up? My life.

I went last night, Thursday evening, to pay my last respect to him. We started queing at 11:20 pm and we finished at around 5:30 am (Friday morning). We were told that the waiting time from our position was 7 hours. But despite that we pursued. Even other Singaporeans couldn’t care less how long do they need to wait. image image

I may not be a Singaporean. But I have deep respect and gratitude towards Mr. Lee. What he did to this little country is really astonishing. He gave up his life, working with the vision of putting this little red dot on the map—a first world oasis in a third world region. And look at Singapore now. image

Upon reaching his casket, I can’t hold my tears any longer. I cried as I paid my last respects to LKY. Some may not understand why a Filipino like me is deeply affected by his lost and was willing to endure hours and hours of waiting in line. He may not be a perfect leader, he made a few bad decisions, but with what he had accomplished and what he was able to build, he has earned to respected.

May we all, Singaporean and foreigners in this country, continue to strive and move forward in continuing his legacy.

I send out my deep condolences to Singapore with the passing of their founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
